Concepts for a proposed Mixed Reality experience as part of the 2021 Dragon & Phoenix exhibition, that showcased the remarkable and little-known history of cultural exchanges between China and the Islamic world. Unfortunately, the project did not go beyond the concept phase.
Experience
The full concept was to involve activating both a dragon and a phoenix. Each creature appears in spirit form above their respective statues/exhibits and cavort in the air; performing an intricate dance, weaving and whirling around each other before they collide together and vanish in an explosion of vibrant particles, like magical fireworks. Each creature would have its own musical signature that mix together as they dance.
