In September of 2019, we travelled to New York to attend the United Nations’ General Assembly as part of a team collaboration with the United Nations Development Program, the UNDP. We gave demonstrations to representatives and a keynote talk with Achim Steiner, the Head of the UNDP, about how Mixed Reality technology can be employed for data realisation and co-presence communication. This was all part of events designed to promote the UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs.

Experience
We collaborated with Bad VR to create several experiences that demonstrated how Mixed Reality could be used to visualize complex data sets to quickly and vividly communicate the impacts of climate change, and to translate complex climate data and systems into 3D visual models that can assist in identifying new climate patterns and perspectives. We also worked closely with the UNDP’s Innovation Team to produce several internal strategy reports for the UNDP on finding innovative applications for spatial computing.
